Alongside our creative activities and research, we also give talks, co-host events and workshops, talk to the media, and sometimes feature in the press!
Workshops and Events
We’re all about collaboration and co-production, and we often co-host events and workshops – both in person and online. These include poster and zine-making, as well as editing Wikipedia!
In our ZINE-MAKING WORKSHOPS we use images and quotes from our archive, focusing on local women who organised Rent Strikes or campaigned as Suffragettes.
We regularly host workshops on HOW TO EDIT WIKIPEDIA – both in-person and online. These are open to everyone, especially those new to editing. We often partner with Wikimedia UK and Women’s History Scotland to deliver these, and training is provided by WikimediaUK trainers. Check our socials or linktreefor upcoming events!

The Kinning Park Community Sit-in “We have to try and change things, and we have to do it… from a grass roots level.” Join P&S as we explore the history of the 1996 Kinning Park Complex Community Sit-in, when local women and young families demanded the building stay open and be given to the community.…
“The ‘hidden history’ of Scotland’s suffragettes will be taught in schools across the country under a project to raise awareness of the ‘gallus women’ behind landmark protests and campaigns.”
We’re not gonna lie – we love the press! They help us to get the word out about these important herstories, and journalists sometimes write about our work and campaigns.
