Help Give the Best Gift for Girls and Boys this Festive Season

We invite you to join Protests and Suffragettes in helping to change lives and shape futures for young people, and particularly girls living in Scotland this Christmas.
Girls deserve the same opportunities and life chances as their male counterparts, yet deep-rooted inequalities persist, especially for girls living in poverty. In 2025, one in five children live in poverty in Scotland.
Give the gift of knowledge and empowerment
While we celebrate the achievements of the suffragettes and suffragists who bravely stood up and fought for our rights, we must acknowledge that the battle for equality is far from over. Today, many young girls in Scotland still face barriers that limit their potential – and boys don’t know of the struggle the women in their lives still face. Education is a powerful tool for change, and with your help, we can gift education packs to schools in Scotland’s under-resourced communities to teach these young minds about the courage and resilience of those who came before them. With that same courage and determination, together they can change their lives – and our future.
Your generous gift of £10, £30, £50 or £150 this Christmas will help fund essential resources that highlight the struggles and triumphs of women’s rights activists. Our highly regarded education packs will inspire girls to stand taller and create their own paths to success, just as the suffrage/ttes did over a century ago.
